We are dedicated to providing the best management development at New York Life. It is the Manager's responsibility to train, support and develop our team. The manager must find, recruit, and train second-line management. We believe that as sales management performance goes, "so goes" the growth of the Colorado General Office.

David joined New York Life in 2001 and worked as an agent in the Mobile and New Orleans General Offices for five years. David was promoted to Partner in 2006 where he earned several company recruiting and leadership awards.
In October 2009, he was named Managing Partner of the Mobile General Office and charged with the task to “Grow the Coast.” In his final two years of service on the Gulf Coast, they won twelve National Production trophies.
David was then promoted to Managing Partner of the Covina Valley General Office in March 2013. In 2014 Covina Valley won “View From The Top” and finished with the #8 GPA (Growth, Profitability & Accountability) nationally. In 2021 Covina Valley grew to become the #15 office in the country. He proudly served on the Managing Partners Advisory Council (MPAC) from 2020-2022. In October of 2023 David was appointed as the Managing Partner of New York Life’s Colorado General Office. His commitment to providing a collaborative environment to the elite financial professionals of Colorado aligns with the collective vision of developing the premier financial services organization in our state.

Roman A. Hubbard is an Executive Partner for New York Life Insurance Company in Colorado.
Roman joined New York Life as an agent in July of 1997 in the Colorado GO, where he became Rookie of the Year. He has been a Sales Manager, Partner, Senior Partner in 2008 and Co-Managing Partner in 2015 serving in the role until 2019. He is now serving as an Executive Partner in the Fort Collins Sales Office. He is a member of NAIFA and on the Board for the Monfort College of Business Alumni Association. Roman attended the University of Northern Colorado and graduated with a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Marketing and minored in Mathematics. Roman enjoys coaching youth football and baseball. Roman has been married to Erin for 17 years and they have three children Sailor 16, Eastin 13 and Ceily 8.

Leroy Garcia is an Executive Partner with New York Life Insurance Company in Denver, Colorado, where he leads and develops high-performing advisors and managers committed to delivering meaningful financial impact for their clients.
A Colorado native, Leroy began his career with New York Life in 2001 as an advisor and quickly distinguished himself as a top performer. He earned multiple council honors, including President’s Council, and was recognized as Rookie of the Year, New Organization Agent of the Year, and a Million Dollar Round Table qualifier.
In 2004, he was promoted to Partner, where he built a reputation for developing successful agents and driving results—earning Partner of the Year seven times and ranked among the Top 25 Partners nationally on multiple occasions. His continued leadership led to his promotion to Senior Partner in 2013, where he was named National Senior Partner of the Year, recognizing the top overall performance across key leadership categories.
In 2015, Leroy advanced to Co-Managing Partner of the Colorado General Office, helping guide the organization’s growth and development until 2019. Today, as Executive Partner, he remains focused on mentoring the next generation of leaders and building a culture centered on accountability, growth, and service.
Beyond his professional role, Leroy is deeply committed to giving back to the Denver community. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Judi’s House, an organization dedicated to supporting grieving children and families who have lost loved ones. Leroy also serves on the board of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). He has also served as Chairman and board member for the Hispanic Chamber Education Foundation and the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA).
Leroy attended Yale University, where he played football and studied architecture. He lives in Denver with his wife, Jenna, and their two children. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, snowboarding, and spending time with his family.

A Colorado native, Heidi Halus has been with New York Life since 2001. Growing up in Southern Colorado, Halus excelled in academics and athletics. She attended the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs on a tennis and volleyball scholarship and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelors of science in business administration. She went on to study and work abroad and then graduated cum laude with a masters in business administration from Florida Atlantic University.
A second-generation New York Life agent, Halus was promoted to Partner in 2005 and was promoted to Senior Partner in September, 2014. She earned the Licensed Underwriter Trained Consultant Fellow (LUTCF) designation in 2004 and the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 2009. Earning Partner of the Year award for Colorado in 2012 and 2014, Heidi is committed to hiring and mentoring individuals who have a passion for helping people and want to achieve significance in their lives. She strives to continually improve herself and the community. She has served on the board of the state and local associations of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) from 2009 - 2011.
Heidi resides in the Denver Historic Highlands neighborhood with her husband, Tim, and their son Niko. She enjoys getting away to the mountains, skiing, and hiking and is an avid tennis player.

Michael grew up in Grand Rapids, MI and immediately following graduation took a position as a middle school math and science teacher in Raleigh, NC where he taught for 7 years. In 2013, he joined the New York Life family in the New Mexico General Office as an Associate Service Leader. One year later Michael was promoted to the Service Leader role in Minnesota and in 2021 Michael started helping the Montana General Office as their interim Service Leader serving both General Offices.
Michael and his wife, Kristie, welcomed their daughter, Mackenzie, into their lives at the beginning of 2020 and now spend a lot of time at their neighborhood playground. They are into all things DIY and are avid foodies who love trying new restaurants and creating new recipes. They can’t wait to start their next chapter in Denver and explore all the city has to offer.


Logan Callaway is a Sales Development Manager at New York Life, where he leads and develops financial professionals to build impactful, client-focused careers. In his role, Logan focuses on coaching, performance development, and helping individuals grow their businesses while delivering meaningful financial guidance to the communities they serve.
Originally from Texas, Logan graduated from Lamar University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree, double majoring in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship. Shortly after graduation, he relocated to Colorado, where he began his career in sales and built a strong foundation in relationship-building, business development, and leadership.
At New York Life, Logan has demonstrated a strong commitment to growth, both personally and professionally. He is known for his ability to mentor others, elevate performance, and foster an environment where individuals are empowered to succeed.
Logan is passionate about helping others unlock their potential, achieve financial independence, and build careers with purpose. He brings a practical, people-first approach to leadership, grounded in real-world experience and a genuine desire to see others succeed.

Jake is a Colorado native, originally from a small town on the Eastern Plains. He attended Colorado State University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Finance. After three years in the industry, Jake joined New York Life & NYLife Securities as an agent in the Northern Colorado office in July of 2020. He achieved Executive Council in his first year with the company and was promoted to Associate Partner in August of 2021.
Now, after being promoted to Partner in January of 2022, Jake is a talent scout, on the lookout for entrepreneurial people with an interest in financial services. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, skiing, watching and playing sports and spending time with family and friends. He is set to marry Alyssa in August of 2026.

David is a Partner with New York Life, where he has been serving clients since 2020. Originally from Pennsylvania, he relocated to Colorado the same year to begin building his practice. David is passionate about helping individuals and families create financial strategies centered around their goals and long-term security. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors and has a strong appreciation for music.

Luke Bisbee is a Partner with New York Life, where he leads and develops a team of financial professionals dedicated to helping individuals, families, and businesses achieve financial security.
Before entering the financial services industry, Luke built a unique and impactful career working with individuals on the autism spectrum. He helped run an extreme sports camp for kids and adults with autism, serving as the lead boat instructor and creating experiences that pushed limits, built confidence, and changed lives. He also spent years as a referee at the highest levels of hockey, including the American Hockey League (AHL) and NCAA, where he developed a strong foundation in discipline, decision-making, and performing under pressure.
Luke brings that same intensity, structure, and passion into his role today—focused on developing high-performing professionals and building a culture centered on accountability, growth, and service.
Outside of work, family is at the center of everything he does. Luke and his wife, along with their two children and two dogs, spend as much time as possible outdoors. He is an avid mountain climber and has summited over 30 of Colorado’s 14,000-foot peaks, reflecting his mindset of pushing limits and pursuing excellence in all areas of life.

As a Partner, Nicholas focuses on recruiting, training, and mentoring a high-performing team of financial advisors, empowering them to build thriving practices. With over eight years of experience in the financial industry, Nicholas brings a track record of success and leadership to his role.
Nicholas began his career as a Financial Services Professional in Southern California, where he spent two years helping clients achieve their financial goals. He then joined New York Life’s home office in New York as an Investment Consultant, where his expertise contributed to breaking multiple annuity records. During his time with New York Life, Nicholas earned the Financial Services Certified Professional (FSCP®) and Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) designations. Following this, he served for three years as a Development Manager, specializing in training and developing advisors to grow their practices.
A proud alumnus of Franklin Pierce University, Nicholas earned both his undergraduate degree and MBA from his alma mater. During his time at Franklin Pierce, he was a college football player and team captain, an experience that shaped his leadership style and commitment to teamwork.
Outside of work, Nicholas is a devoted husband to Casey and father to two energetic boys. He also enjoys his community involvement serving on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Asian Culture and Education Network (CACEN) as well as, the Franklin Pierce Alumni Board of Directors.

Zach Watts is a Partner at New York Life, where he focuses on developing high-performing professionals and delivering strategic guidance to clients and advisors alike.
Raised in Windsor, Colorado, Zach earned a Division I football scholarship as an offensive lineman at the University of Wyoming, where he competed for five years. During his collegiate career, he was recognized with First Team All-Conference honors (2022), inducted into the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society, and received the program’s “Never Flinch” award—reflecting his discipline, resilience, and leadership. He also earned both his MBA and undergraduate degree in Business Management from the University of Wyoming.
Zach joined New York Life in June 2023, achieving Executive Council in his first year. He was selected as a platform speaker at the company’s national conference in Nashville, Tennessee, and was promoted to Partner in April of 2025.
He is committed to serving his community and building lasting relationships grounded in trust, accountability, and attention to detail. Zach is passionate about helping individuals and families make informed financial decisions while mentoring the next generation of leaders within the organization.
Zach is an active member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), the University of Wyoming Alumni Cowboy Joe Club, and Northern Colorado Unify. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Weld RE-4 Education Foundation
